I will be answering the blog prompt for Education and Training and be using another site to further explain my reasons.
In the great depression lots of people were broke and could't pay for education due to the fact some or most of the teachers all that time were not payed. but even so the teachers continued to work even without pay. if i were in that point in time where i did not get payed i would still teach no matter the reason why i think that they did that was because of the job they had, think about it they were teaching kids to read and write and prepare them for life, so teachers in that time where almost essional that they did. would still teach no matter what, due to the fact that it was considered a public service anyway to teach. and on top of that you there were still a lot of kids coming to school due to the fact that they got free school lunches. so without anyone to teach them it would be almost useless to go to school. And thats why i would teach in that situation.

The Water is Wide Rflection
we had just watched a movie, The Water is Wide, in my Principle of Education and Training class. And you will find my responses to Blog Prompt below
1. In what ways has education changed since the 1960's?
A)One of the things that has changed is the use of violence to assert obedience.
B)The second thing that has changed is the use of color as profiling someone. C)And the last thing is the technology used to teach in the classroom.
2. In what ways has it stayed the same since the 1960's?
A) One way teaching has not changed is the use of assigned seats in the classroom.
B) The second thing is the use of unconventional ways to teach children.
C) Getting to know the children in a way that can help them.
3.Describe three ways that Mr. Conroy inspired his children that to learn that was unconventional.
A) He played them records from famous composers to get them to learn music.
B) He took the children to a museum in Washington D.C to let them learn about the moon landing.
C) Instead of going from a text book, he taught them knowledge that was well rounded.
4. What idea do you carry away from this movie that you will apply to your future?
The idea that i took away from this movie is that you should be open to teach differently then what is the norm. And not to always go with what people say.
